Berg Hortimotive

Education is fun, useful and necessary!

Berg Hortimotive (De Lier), Padmos (Stellendam) and Wout Hogervorst vof (Noordwijkerhout) have been nominated this week for the OOM Award South Holland 2019. The OOM Award is the award for the most active (metal) learning company in the region. The winner will be announced on September 6.

" Education is of vital importance in a sector such as ours," says Nico Bikker, CEO Berg Hortimotive. "We see personal development as a basic need. That is why we offer training at all levels. For example, internships, working learning and courses for the people who have been around here for a while. If we don’t, Berg Hortimotive would not exist - and an important part of the world wouldn’t either. That's how important technology is. Education is fun, useful and necessary! "

Criteria nomination

The nominations for the OOM Award are partly based on the number of continuing education activities by the employees of the company, the number of BBL students who are supervised and the number of internships offered. After the nomination, a professional jury will visit all nominated companies and will then present a final judgment, which will be announced during the annual meeting of the Royal Metal Union in the relevant district. It will be in South Holland on Friday 6 September.
